Next question: When you log on to LinkedIn or Facebook on a Monday morning are you hoping to BUY something…? Are you surfing LinkedIn or Facebook thinking “hmmm, what can I buy on here today”…? No, of course not…!

Do you see the problem?

Ain’t nobody buying…so why are you selling so HARD…?

It’s a natural tendency if we’re a Business Owner, a Business Developer or a Sales Person. We’re “on the clock” so we better be pitching someone…!

Here’s my thought…I think we’re better served by assuming that everyone in our network is going to buy from us exactly two weeks from now. But NOT until we’ve laid a whole s**tload of value at their feet.

In this analogy, we have two full weeks to impress and amaze everyone in our network at which point they’ll all buy from us. Take your time, figure out what pains them, position yourself as the person to cure that problem. Most of all…TAKE YOUR TIME…

Ain’t nobody looking to buy today anyway…they don’t know you (yet), they don’t like you (yet) and they don’t trust you (yet)…
